Continuing education workshops are conducted on a regular basis. Four Seasons Resorts has provided a "training of trainers" for our instructors, free of charge. Our training is modeled off of this structure, and also influenced by the visit and provision of "training of trainers" instruction from Nick Jan Scott, owner of Ojai School of Massage. Following successful completion of training and course-work, employment is guaranteed within our various spa boutiques within Nepal, providing an opportunity for income, increase in confidence, and credible referral for work positions abroad. An extended portion of our efforts at Himalayan Healers is the "Sweat Equity" component of our program. In exchange for sponsored training opportunities each student donates a certain amount of volunteer community service work through various projects in Nepal. |
Himalayan Healers is an innovative, pioneering project – the first of it’s kind in the world. This provides a level of healing on a personal and community level – in a peaceful manner – that is immeasurable. Himalayan Healers also recognizes that Nepal is a nation of need – As such, we have open admissions and provide training and support to any and all. As a result, our training and employment has also focused upon assisting victims of human trafficking, victims of domestic violence, war widows, and others of profound need.
